Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
AI Detector Free ("we", "our", "the Site") operates at aidetector.getinfotoyou.com. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of this Site. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
By using the Site, you agree to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site. For questions about this policy, see the Contact section below or visit our About page.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not collect, because this is central to how this tool works:
- Text submitted for AI detection — All analysis runs in your browser. We never receive or store the text you submit.
- User accounts — We do not have an account system. There is no login, no profile, no stored history.
- Email addresses — We do not collect email addresses through the Site.
- Personal identifying information — We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or similar PII.
- Payment information — The Site is free. No payment data is collected or processed.
- Detection results — We do not log or store the AI detection scores generated for your text.
3. Data We DO Collect
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4 Measurement ID: G-QTSYQ72RCT) to collect aggregate usage data. This helps us understand how the Site is used and where to focus improvement efforts. GA4 collects:
- Page views and navigation paths
- Session duration and engagement metrics
- Approximate geographic region (country and city level — not precise location)
- Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
- Browser type and operating system
- Referring URL (where you came from)
This data is anonymized and aggregated. We use it only to understand site usage patterns — not to identify individual users.
Server Logs
Standard web server logs are maintained for security and operational purposes. These logs include IP addresses, request URLs, HTTP status codes, and timestamps. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted. They are used solely for diagnosing technical issues and identifying security threats.
4. How AI Detection Works (Privacy Implication)
This is the most important privacy feature of AI Detector Free: all text analysis happens in your web browser using JavaScript. When you paste text and click "Detect," the analysis algorithms run locally on your device.
Your text is never transmitted to our servers. We have no technical ability to see, store, or analyze the text you submit for detection. This is a deliberate architectural decision, not a policy promise that could be broken — the server-side infrastructure to receive text simply does not exist.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics may collect your IP address and uses cookies to track sessions and returning visits. Google may process this data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by:
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Using a privacy-focused browser or browser extension that blocks analytics scripts
- Enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser (note: not all analytics systems respect this)
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data practices.
6. Google AdSense (Future)
This Site may display Google AdSense advertisements in the future. When and if AdSense is enabled, Google may use cookies to serve personalized advertisements based on your browsing history and interests. You can manage your Google ad personalization preferences at google.com/settings/ads.
At the time of this policy's last update (January 15, 2025), AdSense is not yet enabled on this Site. We will update this policy when that changes.
7. Cookies
We use the following cookies on this Site:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Expiry | Set By |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics — distinguishes unique users | 2 years | |
_ga_QTSYQ72RCT |
Google Analytics 4 — session tracking | 2 years |
No other first-party cookies are set by AI Detector Free. If Google AdSense is enabled in the future, additional advertising cookies may be set and this table will be updated accordingly.
8. Third-Party Services
We currently use the following third-party services that may process data about your visit:
- Google Analytics (analytics.google.com) — usage analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense (potential future use) — advertising. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy when enabled.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties. We do not use advertising networks beyond potentially Google AdSense.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us through this Site, please contact us at getinfotoyou.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access — You can request a copy of personal data we hold about you. In practice, because we collect only aggregate analytics data, we hold no individually identifiable records about most users.
- Right to deletion — You can request deletion of any personal data we hold. Server logs containing your IP address are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Right to opt out of analytics — Use the Google Analytics opt-out options described in Section 5.
- GDPR rights (EU/EEA users) — If you are located in the European Union or EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- CCPA rights (California users) — California residents have rights under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any privacy rights, contact us through getinfotoyou.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the Site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
