1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using aidetector.getinfotoyou.com ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and getinfotoyou.com ("we", "our", "us").

If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, please do not use the Site. Your continued use of the Site following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Service Description

AI Detector Free provides a browser-based tool for analyzing text to determine the likelihood that it was generated by artificial intelligence. The tool uses proprietary implementations of published linguistic pattern analysis algorithms.

Specifically, our detection tool:

  • Runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript
  • Does NOT use AI language models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to perform detection
  • Does NOT call any external APIs to process your text
  • Does NOT transmit submitted text to our servers
  • Analyzes linguistic patterns including vocabulary frequency, sentence structure, readability metrics, and stylistic signals

3. Free Use

The Site is provided free of charge with no usage limits. We reserve the right to display advertising (via Google AdSense or similar services) in the future while maintaining core detection functionality as free.

We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features in the future. Any such features will be clearly distinguished from the core free functionality, which will remain available without charge.

4. Accuracy Disclaimer — IMPORTANT

THE AI DETECTION RESULTS PROVIDED BY THIS TOOL ARE PROBABILISTIC ESTIMATES, NOT DEFINITIVE CONCLUSIONS.

Users must understand the following limitations before relying on any detection result:

  • Approximate accuracy: Detection accuracy is approximately 70–80% for clearly AI-generated text under controlled conditions. Real-world accuracy varies.
  • False positives are possible: Human-written text may be incorrectly flagged as AI-generated. This is more likely for ESL (English as a Second Language) writers, highly formal writers, technical documentation authors, and writers whose natural style closely resembles AI output patterns.
  • False negatives are possible: AI-generated text may not be detected, particularly when the text has been edited, "humanized," or written using prompt techniques designed to evade detection.
  • Score capping: Results are capped at 97% to reflect the inherent uncertainty — a 100% score would imply impossible certainty.
  • Not legal or academic evidence: Results should NEVER be used as the sole evidence of AI authorship in academic misconduct proceedings, legal disputes, employment decisions, or any other consequential context.

We expressly disclaim all liability for any decisions, actions, or consequences arising from reliance on detection results produced by this tool.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Site in any of the following ways:

  • Sole evidence in misconduct proceedings: Do not use detection results as the only or primary evidence in academic integrity, legal, employment, or disciplinary proceedings without substantial additional corroboration.
  • Misrepresentation of results: Do not represent AI detection scores as definitive proof of AI authorship to any individual, institution, or authority.
  • Unlawful purposes: Do not use the Site for any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Reverse engineering: Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the detection algorithms beyond what is reasonably visible in standard browser developer tools.
  • Automated bulk submission: Do not use automated scripts, bots, or programmatic methods to submit text in bulk. The Site is intended for individual human use.
  • Interference: Do not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity or security of the Site or its infrastructure.

6. Intellectual Property

All code, design, content, graphics, and other materials on this Site are owned by or licensed to getinfotoyou.com unless otherwise stated. This includes the visual design, written content, and our proprietary implementation of the detection algorithms.

The underlying academic research that informs our algorithms (Kobak et al., GPTZero methodology, etc.) belongs to their respective authors and institutions. Our implementation is an independent work based on publicly published research findings.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission from getinfotoyou.com, except as permitted by applicable fair use or fair dealing provisions.

7. Privacy

Use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you also agree to our Privacy Policy. Key privacy features: your submitted text is never transmitted to or stored by our servers; all detection processing occurs locally in your browser.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AI DETECTOR FREE AND GETINFOTOYOU.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to:

  • Damages arising from academic misconduct determinations based on detection results
  • Employment decisions, disciplinary actions, or legal proceedings influenced by detection results
  • Loss of reputation, standing, or opportunity resulting from false positive or false negative detection results
  • Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of detection results
  • Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are claimed and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. No Warranty

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THEREON ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of:

  • Merchantability — the tool may not be fit for your particular purpose
  • Fitness for a particular purpose — accuracy, reliability, and completeness are not guaranteed
  • Non-infringement — to the extent permitted by law
  • Accuracy — detection results are probabilistic estimates and may be incorrect

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes shall be resolved through applicable legal channels.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to the Site. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will reflect when changes were last made.

Continued use of the Site after changes to these Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site.
