  • Detection accuracy ranges from approximately 50–90% depending on the AI model, text length, and degree of human editing.
  • False positives occur — human-written text may receive elevated AI probability scores, particularly text written in formal academic register.
  • False negatives occur — AI-generated text may receive low scores if it has been significantly edited or humanized.
  • Results must not be used as sole or primary evidence in any academic integrity, employment, legal, or disciplinary proceeding.
